Our top 5 video games coming in January 2017!

Time to ring in the new year with some new releases.

Hopefully you had all of your gaming wishes fulfilled on Christmas. It is time to head into the new year together with loads of gaming ahead of us. January isn’t usually the biggest time of the year for releases since we are coming off the holidays, but there are still lots of games to look forward to. Here are the five we think you should have your eye on:

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

Set four years after the events of Resident Evil 6 you will play as Ethan Winters who is making his way through the city of Dulvey, Louisiana in search of his wife. The first person gameplay with a variety of weapons at your disposal is still here, and you can still expect to have puzzles to solve. One notable absence from the game is the fact that there will be no quicktime events during your time in the game. Get ready to try and survive when the game releases on January 24.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue

Fans of the Kingdom Hearts series have something else to look forward to with this. If you are trying to figure out what this game is, it is a high definition remaster of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage, and Kingdom Hearts X: Back Cover. This game may offer a glimpse into what is to come in Kingdom Hearts III, and it seems it will have to scratch that itch of new content until the next game releases. Look for it to release worldwide on January 24.

Gravity Rush 2

Following up on the success of the first game, Gravity Rush 2 will pick up the story of Kat and Raven right after the events of Gravity Rush. If you enjoyed the gravity manipulating mechanics of the series then you might be excited to hear that the system is being expanded. The story will also be expanded to be more than twice as long this time. (About 20-40 hours or more) Get ready to jump into the sequel when it comes out on January 20.

Hitman: The Complete First Season

Players can now get their hands on the entire first season of the game with all of the locations, challenges, and everything else with this set. The studio also promises that escalation contracts created by the studio and community created contracts will be included as well. You will be able to Play as 47 and take out the targets all over the world. If you pick up the PS4 version of the game you can get your hands on the six exclusive Sarajevo missions. Get ready for your next mission when it releases January 31.

Yakuza 0

This open world adventure title based in a fictional Tokyo in the year 1988 will put you in the middle of a large power struggle going on between shady criminal organizations through Japan. The game was actually released in Japan back in 2015, but will finally be making a worldwide debut this new year. You will be able to use the fighting styles of the two main characters, and you can switch in the middle of a battle. The game also has an emphasis on character customization and development with money being the main resource. Get ready for a fight when it releases worldwide on January 24.
