The five February games we are most excited about! 

The new year is in full swing, and that means some big titles are here! 

We made it through the craziness of the holidays, and for your reward you can get your hands on some of the biggest titles of the year that are coming out this month. Depending on where you live you might still be stuck in the dead of winter. If so, you are in luck, so sit down and check out what we think will be the five best games to pick up this month.


Horizon Zero Dawn

This new action RPG from Gurrilla is finally here. In this game, players will control Aloy, a girl who has been sheltered all her life, through what looks to be a be both a beautiful and dangerous open world. Aloy employs a wide array of weapons as she fights mechanized enemies only know right now as, the machines. This game may be one of the best titles that we will see this year. Look for our review and pick it up for yourself with it arrives February 28.


For Honor

If you like fighting, knights, Vikings, and the like, then For Honor might just be the game you have been looking for. Ubisoft teased this game at E3 back in 2015, and is heading into open beta. The game features brutal combat in both single and multiplayer modes. There is a campaign mode while introduces the player to the factions in the game and provides a unifying story. Multiplayer gameplay includes five modes from eight player battles to one on one duels. Prove your skill on the battlefield when you pick up this game on February 14.


Halo Wars 2

This sequel to the 2009 game promises to be even better than the last. The game allows for players to battle it out in futuristic combat in single and multiplayer modes. There are thirteen missions in the campaign which can also be played cooperatively with friends. This time the campaign is more integrated into the Halo universe with the events in this game happening right after the story in Halo 5: Guardians. Multiplayer features a verity of game modes to enjoy with up to six players. This game will also take advantage of the Play Anywhere program from Microsoft allowing a digital copy to be played on both the Xbox One and on Windows 10. Grab it when it hits the shelves on February 21.


Poochy & Yoshi’s Wooly World

This is the port of the original game, but now on the 3DS. Even though this isn’t necessarily a brand new game, we thought that you might be done with Pokémon Sun & Moon and were wondering what you should pick up next. This is a fun and cute adventure you can play alone or with a friend as you explore this yarn based world. It features the same levels as the original platformer, but if you haven’t played it yet and you are looking for another 3DS game before the Switch comes out, here is your chance. The game hits the shelves in North America on February 3.


Night in the Woods

After a successful Kickstarter campaign, this cute adventure game developed by Infinite Fall is here. It puts you in control of Mae, a cat who recently left college to return home, but found that things were not quite the same in Possum Springs. In this anthropomorphic adventure players will made decisions that will have an effect on the course of the story and how it plays out. Be sure to check it out when it releases on February 21.
